All cruise ships are equipped with regularly maintained and inspected lifeboats, life rafts and individual lifejackets for adults and kids on board, plus a specified minimum additional capacity. Our crew undergoes regular extensive safety training and drills for emergency situations, including the evacuation of a ship. To meet your special needs for privacy at the pool, we have reserved the front ship Sky Pool (Deck 18) for women only from 9 am to 1 pm daily. No kids, no husband, just you and your adult female friends. Times might be subject to change and will be communicated within the digital signage on board. As far as possible, we will also ensure that no male staff are employed in this area during these times.

To keep you as fully informed as possible about the wide range of venues, offers and activities on board, we mainly provide you with the following information channels on board - Guest Services staff, AROYAApp, cabin telephone, cabin TV, digital screens in the public areas. In addition, the entire crew will be happy to answer your questions at any time. In order not to disturb you unnecessarily, announcements in public areas and within cabins will occur only in important cases and emergencies.

The vessel features the Sailors´ Shore, a particularly large kids’ area - divided into age groups (Nursery 6-24 months, 3-6 years, 7-12 years), supervision is provided by our especially skilled kids team in separated areas on Deck 5. Here you will also find the kids cooking school, the kids workshop as well as the Sailors´ Bridge (a bridge simulation room with multiple games) and the Sailors´ Stage (a children's theatre) – all features for surcharge. We recommend making a reservation for all areas at the Sailors´ Shore Reception Desk (Deck 5) or via the AROYAApp once you are on board.

The main languages spoken onboard are Arabic and English. Please note, that not all crew members speak or understand Arabic – nevertheless, we try to ensure that crew members in key positions are fluent in Arabic. Signages and other written information are provided in Arabic and English.

Our Khuzama guests (Guests staying in Suites and Villas) benefit from late check-out upon request. All late check-out requests are subject to availability and will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis.

We do offer laundry and dry-cleaning services on board, further information and the price list are provided in the cabin. Khuzama guests benefit from
packages included in the cruise price. Suites will receive a complimentary laundry package per suite. Villas will receive a complimentary laundry package per person. Royal Villa guests will receive unlimited free laundry.

Our loyalty program is still under development – once implemented, we will let you know to ensure you will be able to benefit from attractive advantages. Any cruises you take before the program goes live will be taking into consideration on your cruise count profile.

All missing items will be taken to the Guest Services Desk, where items will be logged for tracking purposes.

Passengers are encouraged to limit their checked luggage to two suitcases and two pieces of hand luggage per passenger. However, the maximum amount of luggage in each cabin must not exceed 8 pieces total for all passengers in the same cabin. Exceeding limitations will not be accepted at check-in for the cruise. Please note the baggage restrictions of your airline in parallel. Any luggage must be stowed safely in your cabin, where there is limited storage space - regular suitcases can be stored under the bed. Luggage should be clearly labelled with your name, cabin number, day of embarkation and contact number. Unlabeled checked luggage will be labelled in the port terminal during the embarkation process and delivered by the crew to your cabin. Likewise, suitcases are collected on the last night of your cruise and need to be collected in the port terminal.

Please ensure carrying any necessary medication, valuables, toiletries, important documents and further need-to-have items in your separate hand luggage. For security reasons, AROYA Cruises reserves the right to carry out baggage checks if necessary. An overview of prohibited items on board can be found under “Prohibited Items”.

For any case of medical emergencies we do provide a well-equipped Medical Centre, supervised by the ship’s doctor and his professional medical team. In case of emergency, call 911 from any public or in-cabin phone or contact a crew member. Separate from emergencies, medical services are carried out during the regular opening hours for a fee - prices are published on board. We do recommend purchasing travel & health insurance in advance of your cruise, as you can ask the insurance company for later reimbursement.

Please ensure to bring your own medication on board, in sufficient quantity for the duration of the cruise - it should be carried in your hand luggage. The on-board Medical Clinic provides medication for emergencies only and does not function as a pharmacy. Travel sickness tablets are available free of charge on request at the Guest Services area.

We do offer a variety of Minibar packages (soft drinks, juices and snacks) which can be purchased online prior to embarkation or anytime on board.
In all Suites the Minibar is already stocked and included in the cruise price, any refill can be purchased on board. For Villas we do provide free of charge refills.

You can watch a constantly changing selection of classic films and current blockbusters in your cabin via the Smart TV – applicable charges will be booked to your onboard account.

For babies aged 6 months – 2 years we do provide surcharge nursery services within the Kid’s area on Deck 5. Ensure to make a reservation once on board and enjoy worry-free time while our trained staff look after your little ones.

Please ensure to register your credit card details Mastercard, Visa, Mada Debitcard (with Mastercard Logo), for onboard payments in our AROYAApp prior to departure. All purchases on board will be automatically charged to your onboard cabin account, all postings will be done by tap & pay through your cabin card, which you receive during the embarkation process. All postings require your digital signature. On disembarkation day, we will debit your onboard charges to your registered credit card, the invoice will be sent to your email - we do not accept cash payments. Within your cabin TV you will be able to view your postings and cabin account, alternatively kindly contact the Guest Services team. Onboard postings will be in USD and your final invoice will be settled in USD, but you will find most price information in SAR, too.

A pillow menu is available for Villa guests only - please ask your butler or cabin stewardess, who will be happy to help you choose the right pillow.

Our Cruise Department is happy to keep you regularly informed about the highlights of the next port of call, tips for excursions and additional important information. Find out in the daily program on board, where and when the Port Talks take place.

Any guests wanting to pray during the cruise, may do so in the male and female prayer rooms located on Deck 5. Prayer mats are also provided in all cabins. As the ship faces different directions depending on the itinerary, we recommend using a Qibla App on your own mobile.

Whether there is a meeting, company event, anniversary, birthday party or similar - we will be happy to host and organize your private group event on board. Depending on the size of your group, we can offer and reserve special facilities on board as well as meeting rooms in our Business Centre for your exclusive use. For further information and offers, kindly contact our Customer Call Centre before departure; for enquiries during the cruise, please contact our Events and Groups Coordinator.

Within our responsibilities we do take special care of the safety and security of our passengers, crew and vessel. Dangerous objects as e.g. firearms, ammunition, drones, knives, blades, shishas, charcoal, heating elements as well as flammable and explosive materials are strictly prohibited to carry on board. All persons and luggage will be screened by the port and gangway security. Any prohibited items confiscated, passenger access may be denied, and the local authorities may be contacted. It is also forbidden to carry any kind of drugs or alcohol on board, same applies for food and beverages (except of packed dry food as e.g. cookies or chips).

In order not to disturb you unnecessarily, announcements in public areas and within cabins will occur only in important cases and emergencies. This means that there are no announcements for shore excursions or any other activities on board. Necessary information on times and meeting points can be found on the booking confirmation itself.

We are more than happy to receive your feedback about your overall cruise experience and service quality on board after as well as during the cruise.

Two complimentary restaurants are included in the travel fare (Amwaj Buffet, Deck 16 and Al Waha – Main Dining, Deck 7 & 8), we offer you a wide selection of surcharge specialty restaurants on board. While the restaurants included do not require reservations, we do recommend reservations on board for the specialty restaurants, which can be made by the AROYAApp.

We provide a 24-hour room service on board. The menu is provided in your cabin, orders can be placed by phone. For our Khuzama guests the room service is complimentary.

Do not miss this experience and take on the challenge of navigating the outdoor ropes course (Deck 18) then catch a ride on the thrilling zipline above the ocean. Kids can choose to "walk the plank" at the same height for a similar challenge.

According to SOLAS (international convention for “Safety Of Life At Sea”) you need to take part in a mandatory safety and emergency drill before departure. We will inform you what to do in case of emergency and how to wear your life jacket. Within your cabin TV you will find a video with all necessary safety instructions, too – on the back of your cabin door you will find information about the escape routes and your muster station. Babies and infants below 13 years will receive a wristband mentioning the muster station to wear during the complete cruise – that helps our staff to escort them to the respective muster station, if they are not accompanied by their parents in case of emergency.

Within our responsibilities we do take special care of the safety and security of our passengers, crew and vessel. Our specially trained security crew takes care of security on board, supported by a camera surveillance system, and are authorized to intervene in cases of suspicion or emergency. The vessel is equipped with a digital access control system (which requires your cabin card to pass), x-ray screening for luggage as well as metal detectors. We reserve the right to carry out handbag and luggage checks.

With over 1.400 m² of space on Deck 6 and Deck 7, we offer a comprehensive onboard shopping experience for you – another 150 m² retail area are implemented in the Khuzama area on Deck 16 and reserved exclusively for our suite guests. Besides ladies and men’s fashion, we do offer a wide selection of watches, jewelry, parfums, leather goods, sunglasses, accessories and souvenirs. A Kid´s shop, Souk with local brands and convenience store completes the wide range.

You can conveniently book our shore excursion packages in advance of the cruise via our website, but bookings can also be made on board. We are also happy to organize private excursions with your own guides for you and your family on board on request.

There is never a dull moment on board with its vast selection of shows and entertainment events. Enjoy our tailormade daily shows in the AROYA Theatre (Deck 7) dedicated for kids, adults and families as well as plenty of roaming acts in several venues throughout the day. Daily show topics and times will be communicated by digital signage and within the daily program.

Smoking (referring to cigarettes, cigars, all types of electronic vaping as e-cigarettes, vapes, mods, pipe smoking, etc.) is not permitted in cabins, on cabin balconies and anywhere else on board, unless indicated as dedicated smoking areas by respective signage. Do not throw cigarette butts or anything else overboard. Violations are punishable by severe penalties and can lead to disembarkation. We are happy to offer Shishas in selected venues like The Legends Sports Lounge (Deck 8), the Beats Bar (Deck 17), the Zen Pool Bar (Deck 18) and the Al Matal Lounge (Deck 19). Cigar lovers meet in the Havana Lounge on Deck 8.

While the Zen Pool (Deck 18) is dedicated for adults only (respectively for women only from 9 am to 1 pm daily), families and kids are highly welcome at the Main Pool on Deck 16. Around the Main Pool you will find sunbeds and seating areas on Deck 16 and 17, and towels will be provided. Your children will love the Kids Splash Zone (Deck 16) next to the Main Pool. Our staff will supervise the pools and waterslides, but there is no lifeguard on duty. Please ensure to bring your slippers or flip-flops.

Table reservations for the specialty restaurants can be made via the AROYA Guest App, by telephone or in person with the Maître in the selected restaurant itself or via the Food & Beverage Services Desk located on Deck 8. At this desk we also assist you to gain an overview of the various restaurants, their culinary specialties, menus and promotions.

Entertainment is guaranteed - in addition to the Arcade Area (Deck 16 / charged per game) the 13–18-year-olds among our guests will find their own in- and outdoor area in the Teens Escape (Deck 17) supervised by our specially trained staff - where video games, pool billiards, air hockey, football, table tennis and many more fun games and activities are available free of charge.

The telephone in your cabin can be used both for internal calls on board (e.g. Guest Services or from cabin to cabin) and for external calls ashore. External calls will be charged to your on-board account, the costs per minute can be found within the telephone directory. At sea, you can make and receive calls via our ship's own mobile phone network - depending on your mobile phone contract, different connection costs may apply for outgoing and incoming mobile phone calls, which will be charged to your mobile phone bill.

Try out our exciting virtual reality games (surcharges apply) in the Glitch Area (Deck 17 right next to the Teens Area), our staff will introduce you to the games and devices.

We keep a few wheelchairs on board for emergencies only - for your own daily use, please bring your own wheelchair or other walking aids on board. Due to safety reasons, any wheelchairs or walking aids need to be stored in your own cabin. Depending on the degree of mobility impairment, we strongly recommend that you bring an accompanying person on board - the crew can only provide temporary assistance, subject to availability.

Wi-Fi is provided throughout the vessel, we are offering a selection of Wi-Fi-Packages, which can be purchased by the AROYAApp. Surf & Stream Wi-Fi (2 devices) is already included for Khuzama Guests, when booking a Villa, Suite guests have included the Surf-Package (2 devices). The simple usage of the AROYAApp with related booking features does not require to purchase any Wi-Fi-Package.
